What are adjectives?
Adjectives are describing words. They tell us more about the noun.
Example: Her red dress is missing. (Red describes the word "dress", which is the noun.)
Things to keep in mind:
Adjectives can tell us more about the colour, age, size and temperature of something and what things are made of.
Example: The old man walks slowly.
We can use adjectives before or after nouns.
Example: The huge dog. OR The dog is huge.
Degrees of comparison compare nouns.
positive - high
comparative - higher
superlative - highest
Irregular adjectives:
bad ; worse ; worst
many ; more ; most
little ; less ; least
