Articles

There are three articles:

• a, an, the

Indefinite article: a / an (This is used before unspecific things)

a - Is used in front of words that start with a consonant

Example: A giraffe has a long neck.

an - Is used in front of words that start with a vowel (a,e,i,o,u).

Example: An owl is awake at night.

Definite article: the (This is used before specific things - nouns)

Example: The children play in the garden.
